Helpful Tips

  • Once the Car Rental Store and Airport are unlocked, place them next to each other. For an even greater increase in car rental profit, you can also place the Gift Shop and Convenience Store next to the Car Rental Store (this fulfills the Shopping Combo and Roadside Store combos for the rental store, increasing its use fee by 300 coins).
  • Random booms (leisure, outdoor, dining etc) occur from time to time, which boosts the appeal of facilities of that type. You should remodel accommodations that have many nearby trendy facilities before the boom ends to lock in the increased popularity. Booms are also useful to unlock customers which appear with rank (E.g. Florist is unlocked when you have an accommodation with Family popularity >= 385).
  • The value of repeating facilities cannot be overstated, i.e. go wild with placing coin lockers near your globetrotter accommodation. You'll also want to build more than one of a facility once you unlock it, so that it can level up quickly.
  • If you're replacing a facility and not planning to remodel the accommodation (e.g. switching out a sunflower (appeal 3) with cactus (appeal 6)), move the sunflower to a location within the accommodation's range. Even if it'll temporarily block a path, do not move it out of range. Otherwise, the accommodation will instantly downgrade (loses a travel package or combo) from the loss of the sunflower, even if you immediately replace it with another flower.
  • Tip from Japanese wiki when you're running out of money: Adding more cottages will not help much. Try adding "vending machines", "beach chairs", "trash cans" and "palm trees" in large numbers. If you put about 100 each, the monthly balance is about 1,500,000 yen. At the start of the game, I like to put them next to the port.
