Structures (Venture Towns)
Venture Towns ✍ |
---|
|
Structures are your primary way to make money, as well as make your residents content. This can be compounded when structures are placed in the right combo(s).
NB: Items marked as "Initially Available" are available, from the start, on all 10 maps. Some items are available from the start on one map but not on another. These are not marked as Initially Available.
Housing
Housing conditions require a certain amount of money in the resident's saving (although no money is actually taken from them), and often requires a specific type of path to be near their home.
Park
Cost:$8K - The park is a special structure, where residents go to meet. This is the primary way to obtain research points, as well as for residents to gain stats. It is initially available on all maps.

Buildings
Research costs increase by 10% for each industry researched; therefore, the values in this table should only be taken as guidelines. Similarly, both Research Points and Resident Effects get better as the building gains levels; the values here should be for level 1 buildings.
One of the possible requirements for unlocking these buldings is having residents that are not salarymen. There are 5 jobs that are considered salarymen, these jobs are Freelancers, Employees, Supervisors, Managers, and Executives. Any other jobs beside the 5 jobs are considered non-salarymen job.
Trivia
- The game files indicate there are other structures / houses available (in-game sprites / names), although these do not seem to be obtainable in-game:
- The game files also indicate there unused environmental structures (in-game sprites / edo town), although these do not seem to be obtainable in-game:
- Some structures have a different appearance in the English release, either due to text on the sprite (such as the Lottery Shp), or for a better cultural alternative (such as the Monument, which originally had a sprite similar to the Daibutsu as seen in Structures (Oh! Edo Towns)).
