GameDex is an event that grants a temporary download rate boost to the game currently on sale, drops a random item, and has a chance to grant some uses of an assistant.
Downloads: The download boost depends on your fans and 4 past games' sales relative to the GameDex rank. However, after roughly rank 16, the release event roulette always spins as soon as GameDex completes, and it overwrites the GameDex download boost as soon as it starts spinning, so the download boost loses all meaning after that point in the game.
Items: The rank of the item dropped depends solely on the GameDex rank. Each item type within that GameDex's Item Rank Range has an equal drop chance, but only items with the GameDex flag can drop.
Assistants: The probability of being rewarded an assistant depends on the GameDex rank and the number of uses you already have remaining for that assistant, plus assistants can only appear during their specified availability time frame. The assistant probability formula is RemainingUsesForThatAssistant / 3 * (AssistantChanceReductionSoftener - MaxAssistantChance) + MaxAssistantChance.
