Residents (Epic Astro Story)
Epic Astro Story ✍ |
---|
|
Residents serve two purposes. The first is to produce goods for tourists to purchase. The second is to be sent out on exploration missions on both your home planet and alien worlds. Other than the starting pair, most other residents are recruited from alien worlds by spending Research Points (RP).
Statistics
Residents have six statistics: Health, Ability, Work, Exploration, Attack, and Defense.
- Health - determines how much damage a resident can take during one battle before being defeated. Health is fully restored between battles, even during the same expedition.
- Ability - affects how effective a weapon is when determining a resident's Attack.
- Work - determines how quickly actions taken to produce goods (farming, mining, processing, and actual goods production) process, as well as how long the resident will work before becoming tired and taking a break.
- Exploration - determines how quickly the resident party will explore and how long they can explore before requiring more money.
- Attack - determines how much damage a resident will deal to an enemy on each successful attack.
- Defense - reduces the amount of damage a resident takes from enemy attacks.
Health, ability, work, and exploration can be increased by raising the level of the resident, as well as finding colored obelisks on some home planet expeditions while attack and defense only increase when equipping weapons and armor respectively.
Special Message
- When you postponed to recruit someone, you may get this message, "I see. That's too bad... I hope we can work together again sometime."
- And then, when the resident you have been recruited arrived to your planet, you may get this message, "Congratulations! [Name of resident] has emigrated to our planet!"
Recruitable Residents
On second and subsequent playthroughs, James Turk is replaced by a character of your choice that was unlocked on the previous playthrough, with a starting level equal to half of that character's ending level.
All Residents' names in Epic Astro Story are references to characters from the Star Trek franchise. Their Star Trek equivalent is linked in their name below.
